Our Project

Integrating outdoor play has a significant, positive impact on students and is proven to be an essential part of teaching and learning. Studies have shown that outdoor play also reduces anxieties and improves moods and focus. There is power in (outdoor) play!

Traditionally, the PTO’s within our school district have been involved with funding and developing the playgrounds at our schools. We’ve seen this as an opportunity to unite our community and raise funds for something that directly and fundamentally improves the lives of our children.

Dr. Kevin Fagan, is excited to work with our PTO to plan and implement our playground at Greystone.

We have kicked off a multi-phase, 3-year fundraising campaign, “The Power of Play” with a goal of $150,000 to cover the cost of equipment and installation. What we accomplish for the playground will impact many students and families. We want them to have a great and safe playground! We are also cognizant of children with different needs, as GES will also host the emotional support and autistic support programs. Our playground will meet the diverse needs of our children.

We need our local community to come together to help make this essential outdoor play area a reality. Please consider a donation to help fund the “Power of Play” Campaign. We have included varying sponsorship levels, pictures of possible play area equipment and descriptions.
